radiator overflow to pass scruitineering

Sat Apr 26, 2008 3:10 pm

hey guys my current setup is overflow from radiator to stock radiator overflow, then to my overflow bottle. The only reason i done this is so i can run my fuel overflow to the radiator overflow bottle without it getting mixed in with radiator fluid, as whatever in the stock radiator overflow will go into the radiator when it heats up.
at my first race meet i saw people just cable-tied their overflow bottle to the radiator somewhere and had a hose directly to it, have you guys got a setup like this and if so would it pass if i also run my fuel overflow to that bottle or will i need to mount another?
cheers Tim

Tim as long as the hose is in a sealed container then you will pass, it can be an old small shampoo bottle or a perfect size is a bottle from a hand wash as it's compact & can jsut about be hidden anyware, just watch out for too much heat near it ;)

Mine is sitting near the headstock so I can keep an eye on any fluids, the radiator will be too hot dude.
My bottle has the radiator overflow direct from the radiator(there is no filler bottle) airbox, the oil breather & battery hose.

Hint do not seal the top of the bottle....it needs to breathe & the best thing about the bracket as a mounting spot is that it is high up :D
