Hi,has anyone got any feedback on the Michelin "tc" tyers yet?I think they are a pilot road with {maybe} power or softer sides.I am thinking about buying a rear and leaving a pilot power front on,any thoughts would help, cheers "g

I take it you're referring to the 2CT tyres? Don't know about the powers but have a couple of mates running the pilot race 2ct's and can't fault them at all. Say the edges stick like glue

Kazz has a set on her zzr 600.Looking at the rear tyre it is a pretty flat sort of profile so i dont think it would match well with a power front. As for traction i cant help ya as i am not allowed to thrash her bike

Just go with the m3s

There is no 'race' 2CT. Though the power race is also a multi compound tyre
There is a Pilot Power 2CT which is a dual compound tyre - centre compound similar to regular Pilot Powers with softer rubber on the shoulders
There is also the Pilot Road 2 which is also a dual compound tyre but more on the sports-touring side of things.
If you like Pilot Powers then im sure youd like the 2CT's, ive heard lots of good things about them. I was going to put one on my 10R but on short notice I couldnt get one so went for a 'regular' pilot power which suits me fine.
For a rear 2ct expect to pay an extra $30-40 over a pilot power. Also not sure about the flat profile, maybe the tyre z900/zx9 is referring to was squared off?

It uses the same 'technology' if you read the Michelin marketing guff, but the tyre is called a Michelin Power Race. The nomeclature for the Michelin tyres are
Power Race
Pilot Power
Pilot Power 2CT
Pilot Road 2
Sorry to split hairs

I run the Power Race 2ct's and love them, I use them on the road and the track.
They are useless for grip first thing in the morning for a good 5 minutes, but they spinup a treat in front of your mates covering them in smoke. ( i tried to lift the front once and she lit up, now its a habit)
They dont reach their full grip range on the raod but i run Med-soft, so i work with it. Medium in the center and soft on the edge, the 2x 'C'ompound 'T'yre.
I was going to get the Super Corsa Dragons, but got these cheap.
They havent let me down yet and i will only used Pilot power roads in winter from now on. Cant comment on km's yet, but you wont get to many i reakon.
I hope this helped,
Jay

I have a Pilot Power on the front and a Pilot 2CT road on the rear of the failing Marshmallow and it works a treat!!! Don't knock em till you try em!!!
Having said that, if it's grip yr after the M3's are the ducks guts!

I run the opposite 2ct on the front and a power on the rear, good even wear as my rear was always cooked well before my front.....

If talking a Power 2Ct on the front and a power rear, then I could well imagine it would work well. However, if you are running a 2CT road front and a power rear, I would encourage you to change it! It is never a good Idea to have a front tyre which will let go before the rear does!!!

Strika, I currently have the same set up... I'm not entirely digging it. I've got a thread running in this section of the forum on the actual topic... wanna jump in and post some specific feedback?
Cheers mate.
