Wanted to hear a bit of feebback on trusted Kawa mechanics in the sydney area..
Who people have used mechs and their experiences, good / bad etc.
I'm just about to go to Sydney city motorcycles, just past kogra for a minor service on my 6, which is costing $500..
Also just about to install a K&N filter, i've already a Carbon bolt on can, i'll let you know how i go for power gains.
Also also, i'll probably need a new rear tyre, so where to get good cheap rubber.
thanks

go to narrellan kawasaki
i just did the 6000k service on my 6 and it cost me about $300 from narellan.
its worth riding out there for that $200 i reckon.
richard and his mechanic are good blokes and they will look after you.

It depends on the nature of the service,is the bike new, will valves need any work, stuff like that so why don't you introduce us to you and the bike.
If you're in the city Skidzz in Leichardt is good for tyres, ride in/ride out service at a good price and the guy has photo's of himself doing the IOM.
Cheers.

I've had a good experience with Narellan Kawasaki so I'd rate them.
Mick at Castle Hill Motorcycles is also very good although not a kwaka dealer and not always the quickest.

I second that ; he's a very experienced mechanic, and honest as the day is long (something of a rarity IMHO).
Cheers,
Brian

He's great, but sticks to a strange ancient mythical calender followed by very few people.
i.e. if he says your bike will be ready on Monday, that really means Thursday according to his calender

Thanks for those replies fellas,
I live in the Eastern Suburbs and work in the city, been riding for about 4 years.
I've mostly been to inner city mechanics, like Close Motorcycles, or Action or Sydney City... and they're not very good.
I should check out narrellan kawasaki, i think thats near my girls parents place..
1 thing is for sure next bike i buy will be from a dealer outside of sydney, they drop in price the further out you go.
I've included a pic of my bike from my phone below.
Where's everyone else based mainly?

There's a few of us North West. ie Kellyville, Rouse Hill, Windsor, Richmond (Very good proximity to Old Road, Putty, Bell's)

The rest of us live in Sydney and have street lights and electricity etc...

Another one that you should serious;ly consider is BMS motorcycles in beaconsfield near the corner of epson & botany, good guys with cheap rates.
Also a mate of mine is trying to start up a small bike service business in a side area of a auto repair/sprayshop near there too. not sure what the rates would be but theyll have a licensed mechanic there too. unsure when he'd be ready to start taking customers as he's still starting to spool things up.
