HELP REQUIRED.

Im rejetting my L3 after ive done the airbox mod and need to know A wats the best jets to run that will give me the best proformance and B the best way to tune my carbi's. feed back would be very nice.

raven, unless you kow someone with a dyno or exhaust reader (lambda ??) then it is all trial and error seat of the pants, plug chop (unleaded??) stuff.
When you are talking taking the tank off, removing airbox and crabs, then bowls, swap jets and reverse procedure ad infinitum unitl you are happy, it wears VERY thin VERY quick.
Unless you have finders like a spider monkey, get to a dyno.
IF you do it yourself, keep a CLOSE eye on the heat of the motor, thats your first sign of leaness and you DONT want to root your motor saving a few dollars

of course it would save you a headache provided they were capable to do it

and of course there is far better options than Yoshi

If you can get someone else to do it, it'll save you a lot of rooting around. You wont learn as much, but you wont go bald from pulling your hair out!

I have just lost 3 full days stuffing around with the carbs on my RD250LC.

I have two sets of carbs (both different model numbers), 3 sets of needles, 3 sets of main jets, 2 sets of pilot jets and 2 sets of needle seats.

Changing any one component can effect the way the others work. Although, I'm talking about a 2-stroke and not a 4.

Finally got my bike running properly last night. Turns out all of the needles I had were the wrong type.

Now the little sucker wheelstands in 2nd off the throttle. Not bad for a 250.

I'll have another crack at it, if i cant get it right then i guess i'll call a pro and let them look ait, was quoted round $250 ish for the kit and 3 to 4hours labour at $77.00 an hour.
