Well, went on a mission today whilst at work. Priced a new Power Commander, 16 tooth sprocket, new chain, and dyno. Come out around the $1000 mark all fitted.
Havent bothered comparing atm, but this guy was recommended from a guy at work who gets all his bike work done by him. Is it a good price?
Not sure on KSRC's standing on asking people for experiences with traders or I'd ask about it. Few other forums I've been associated with, disallow it for legal reasons...

Just an opinion Benno, but i would spend the dough on 4 or 5 track days. $1k should cover entry fees and tyres etc shouldn't it!!!
Bet you'll go quicker than with the mods!!!
OTOH-If u can afford to, to both!!!!!!

Money isnt an issue... but I'm a rev head at heart. Cant stand having a mode of transportation being stock!
This is stuff I wanted to do. Now that the weather is going to start to get nice, I figure what better time!
Track days are what I'll be aiming for.

mate last time i got a price a PC3 was around $1k fitted..mind u that was 2 yrs ago....
PC is a good idea for giving better, smoother power delivery...but changing teeth on the zx10?? them things wheelie in 1st,2nd & 3rd...do u wanna make it unrideable??
on a 6, or a 9 id say go with the gear change, but unless u wanna do slow speed wheelies (stunting etc) i wouldnt change too much...

the main prob is with rideability around town and being too tall to use 2nd gear around corners and not as good in the twisties
a 2 tooth down on the front is the most common change in any bike and makes a huge difference to how it rides
side affects are easier wheelies

and a possible increase in fuel useage by using more of the throttle when enjoying yourself

Getting the suspension revalved would cause it to stop being stock, it won't cost anywhere near $1000, and it will adress an area of performance in which a 10R actually needs to improve.
