zx9r blank plate

Postby smiley_w » Thu Jan 17, 2013 5:21 pm

I have a 96 zx9r and I have a question on something resembling a blanking plate.

on the right side of the motor and above the pickup coil cover ( where the timing plate is)there is a plate with 2 bolts in it....what is behind it?

I was thinking it is an inspection plate for the cam chain.

another note..can you take of the coil pickup plate off and remove the timing plate behind it to inspect the bottom of the cam chain at all?

Square plate, halfway up the block? Vibration damper. It has a block of rubber behind it.

Might be named that, but It's for noise suppression to pass ADR's................. Huggers wouldn't pass without it.....F1 ZX6 and many others have em. We junked them on the racebike.

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?
