Isn't this expected? Two smokes are being banned everythere due to emission regs. At the end of this year you will not be able to buy a new 2 stroke motoX bike, and they have been selling and racing four strokes for a while. Am almost surprised it has taken this long for it to take hold in GPs.

from what we heard from europe it had been the intention that there be 800cc MotoGP, & 400cc & 200cc 4 strokes as the support classes.
thats was at the end of last year.

i cant believe it, as it looks like it is happeneing even though i wanna cry. i grew up on 2 strokes & the thought of no 250's??
perhaps the sweetest of all GP machines will be banished forever.
if i had the dough id buy the last 250 2 stroke that wins the world championship.

honda havnt bothered for ages in the smaller GP classes but we have cbr 150's & mori 250's already racing in our domestic championship.
yammie also have a 450 in a 250 chassis frame (damn i cant find the link to this)

for those of us old enough to remember the golden decade of grand rprix premier class 2 stroke racing
