Got this in my email from the DVS Honda team.

DVS Honda star rider Adam ‘Krusty’ Fergusson is in a stable condition in the Launceston General Hospital after a very nasty crash during testing at Symmons Plains,Tasmania yesterday. The 2004 dual Australian Champion suffered multiple fractures across his body and lost consciousness for a short time after the crash and is out for the remainder of the season. He is scheduled to have his first surgery this afternoon to plate both legs. Further surgeries are expected.

More details will be released as they are confirmed.

The entire team at DVS Honda wish him a full and speedy recovery and would like to thank the track staff and in particular the other teams and riders for their support and assistance at the trackside.

Good luck Krusty and all the best on recuperating back to full strength.

What does "plate both legs" mean ? I hope just a titanium rod to mend broken bones.

i spoke to my mate this arvo who works for the KRT, he said it was a huge crash and that he had mutiple injuries. he taken from the circuit in an ambo

Krusty is a great guy, what i like about him is he always speaks his mind.

I really hope this doest mean the end of his racing career, but considering what happened at this track last year - i saw that one and it was HUGE - i wouldnt be surprised if he calls it quits.

i hope he mends quickly - he is afterall a legend of the sport.

I spoke to Krusty this afternoon, he is in pretty good spirits all things considered - we even had a little joke and he was joking about half his bike going over the wall that had teams ducking for cover.

He was also very dissapointed because he had been doing fast, consistant times and said they had found a little bit in the bike and that he had also found something in the rider.

Best bit is he isnt considering the "R" word just yet - thats the most pleasing thing.

Anyway, he has 2 broken legs, 1 tib & 1 fib, broken collarbone and destroyed PCL and ACL in the same knee, few problems with his hip but he was happier today cause he was in a wheelchair and mobile.

I wished him all the best for a speedy recovery and i'm sure we all hope to see him back out there next year. He said he would like to go to the races on the weekend and not go home and sulk - what a champion
