MotoGP single-tyre rule

I see good and bad points for both sides of the arguement...

In saying that, it will be good to see the field evened out.

But will it????? We currently have 2 blokes way out front, daylight third and 2/3's of the field are on the tyre of "choice".....

There are a lot of guys out there who just aren't world champion material. And I say that with all due respect because I can't even begin to dream about being 1% as good as those at the back of the field on my very best day.

Chris Vermulen made an interesting comment at PI last weekend, he said "why don't they just put us all on the same bike with the same suspension settings and the same tyres". Just a thought to stir the pot a little more

Dorna are worried about the current trend of riders crashing due to high-cornering speed. They are hoping that a single tyre rule will slow down development of tyres and, as a result, put a halt to the steady increase in cornering speed that we've seen since the introduction of the 800's.

Personally, I see it as a slap in the face to the ethos of the category.

Agreed Ardy, how bout we go back to 990's, they certainly rode them differently and it was more entertaining, or better yet 1200's

I would prefer a return to the 990's. Actually, I've always said that they should just be able to produce whatever the hell they want and race that. No rules!!
