I think I feel sorry for the poor old bugger.

Nope, sorry, was wrong... Cya Max.

A statement released by the Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra team appears to confirm that Max Biaggi will not be riding for the reigning World Superbike champions in 2006.
Crash.net asked the team for comment following reports that Biaggi was now targeting a partial WSBK season - after failing to gain the 'equal technical guarantees' he was requesting for a full time ride on a fourth Alsatre Suzuki - and were directed by Alstare to the following statement:
"With reference to the many articles and stories in the media, Team Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra would like to confirm the names of their riders for 2006:
"World SBK Championship:
"Team Alstare Suzuki Corona Extra (with official GSX-R1000 Suzukis): Troy CORSER (AUS) (2005 World Superbike Champion) Yukio KAGAYAMA (J)
"Team Alstare Suzuki Italia: Fabien FORET (F), (unofficial GSX-R1000 Suzuki prepared by Team Alstare)
"Superstock 600 Championship: Xavier SIMEON (BEL)."
Although the statement doesn't mention wild-card rides, it now looks increasingly likely that Biaggi's 2006 motorsport activities will be limited to possible further tests for the Midland F1 team.
