While it is good to see him finally get a decent ride somewhere, I am starting to become a little tired of Ant's continual whingeing and whining! He is very quick to publicly criticise his team and the bike. I am sure he is sick and tired of being diplomatic about things, but it is part of the territory for a top level rider these days and I wish to god he would get some personality too! :lol:

Ants mouth

Sat May 26, 2007 10:31 pm

Uno it has happened to many riders , the ones that open there mouth to wide people just get sick and tied of there complaints. Anthoy West had the same complaints at last years PI race and he was told by a Moto Gp Ozzy winner to shut the fuck up and ride the fucking bike....

Sun May 27, 2007 4:31 pm

thats why i doubt he will ever get a factory bike in moto GP, as marty says, you have to play the game........telling it like it is just dont cut it these days

Sun May 27, 2007 5:09 pm

But I'm sure Kawasaki MotoGP could do with a rider like him

its a hard thing to say isnt it??

mccoy won a race or 2 on a tzr?? 500 , yet did stuff all on a 990 kwak... rossi kicked ass on both hondas and yamy...barros, melandri both did crap on yamys, but rode well on hondas..nakkers did well on the kwak, but has so far been shit on honda... Casey was ok on a honda, but better on the duke...

so many factors..i guess sum ppl just adapt to different bikes...

i still think wot would be cool is if they took the best rider from each manufacturer, gave them all 10 laps on each bike, and compiled the best performers, and best bikes...

You've also got to remember that the current bikes are completely different to even last year's. It's true that different bikes suit different riders, but it looks as if the current machine is somewhere between the Yamaha and Ducati in terms of power, and appears to turn better than the Duc. That would make it a competitive bike, and better than the Honda. Therefore, the problem is the rider.

Randy looked promising at Le Mans, but showed a lack of maturity as the red haze got to him. On the other hand, it was great to see him going all out. OJ hasn't been on the pace at all this year. In my opinion the lads need to perform or be replaced by someone who'll do the job.

</off>

It'll be great if Westy does well, but the lad needs some off-bike class.
