Re-organisation of Kawasaki Racing Team for 2007 Onwards
From Kawasaki Australia
Kawasaki has today confirmed, the re-organisation of both the Kawasaki Road Race and Off Road Racing Teams leading into the 2007 race season.
Kawasaki Racing Team (KRT) has undergone a management restructure specifically designed to better position both On Road and Off Road Racing Teams in 2007. The re-organisation is structured to deliver better results collectively for KRT.
Continuing the momentum and fresh from winning the 2006 Australian Supercross Championship onboard the Kawasaki KX450F, Daniel Reardon - the current Pro Open Champion and KRT Pro Lite rider, Mitch Hoad - piloting the Kawasaki KX250F, will continue to contest their respective Supercross and Motocross Championships for KRT.
KRT Superbike Rider Shannon Johnson will be joined by a new team member in Melbourne based rider, Wayne Maxwell. Both riders will represent Kawasaki in the Australian Superbike and Super Sports categories. Each rider has set their sights firmly on achieving great results onboard the Kawasaki ZX-10R and the spectacular all new model ZX-6R in 2007.
The re-organisation sees the new appointment of Mr Brett Whale, a long time Kawasaki personality, assuming the role of KRT Supercross and Motocross Team Manager. KRT Race Engineers - Charlie Costanzo and Ken Wheeler will continue to work and develop their race winning partnerships throughout the 2007 season when the team relocates to its new base in Brisbane.
The Kawasaki Road Racing Team has gained the experienced services of David Cullen, known to most as ‘Radar’, to the role of KRT Road Racing Team Manager. David has a long association with Championship winning Road Racing Teams and will assume responsibility for all Road Racing Team management matters. He will be ably supported by long time KRT Technical Engineer Glen Willing.
The re-organisation is structured to deliver a more focused and dedicated environment for each element of KRT.
Ted Mori, Kawasaki Motors Pty Ltd Managing Director said “The new team structure brings fresh, new talent to support the existing dedicated team members and we are confident that with the extra support and man power, we will achieve significantly better results for Kawasaki in 2007 and beyond”.

Hey, Mitch, I heard right when I was up getting the suspension sorted by Radar last Wednesday. He got the call from Kawasaki while I was there and I overheard him accepting the gig. Right place, right time. It'll be different seeing Radar in Green after all of his time with Yamaha but it will be good to see how he gets the team going. He seemed pretty happy after the phone call. I see that he also has one of the Willings with him as well. Hopefully 'Team Green' will be up the sharp end for 2007.

What was that? Didn't think Goey was riding a 7R at the same time as Edwards was on the VTR
God, I'm looking forward to seeing the Go-Show back in Green though
