I was looking at the results from the first day of testing at sepang. This is the last pre season test session and runs for three days with every team testing except for WCM.
Randy de Puniet was 7th quickest on this opening day with a time of 2min 2.75 secs He was 1.27secs quicker than Nakano on the other Kawasaki and 1.09 sec off Melandri's time, who set the fastest for the day.
Even though it's day one and maybe we can't read too much into it, at least its a good start.
Randy might just do ok this season.
