Hi All

for far to long I have just been lurking around the KSRC forums after selling the ZX7Rs, but I am back on the flying K with a ZX9R. I have had it in the workshop for the past 12 months and finally got it into a state that is ready to run.

Thanks to Laidback for the bike, thanks to Tack for test riding it on Aust Day, and to Jet Pilot for the fairings.

Thanks John. It has taken a while but we finally got there. We managed to get that crack in the engine case sorted. Tack took it out for 3 x 20 min sessions at QLD Raceway on the Aust Day holiday and we only had a small seep from the stator cover which should be sorted with a new gasket.

Looking forward to my first ride (other than up and down the street)

Cool mate.
I reckon it goes pretty good, what does Tack think?

Is that my old one? The undertail looks like it, but it has a different pipe on it. :?

If it is my old one, the previous owner to me (Mark Hatch) won an ASBK race on it! Then, I bought it, then Rod, then John etc. It was a very well sorted bike that one, back in the day. :kuda:

Not sure of which 9R it was that John sold me as he has a few (any idea John?). If it is then it was backed by Tack's feedback were he stated that it was a goodun'.

Not sure if I can win races on it, but it is always fun to stick an old bike up the inside and then pull away from a new 1000cc machine

Yep The frame is the whore....
Engine is a low km from a wreck.
Reckon it goes harder than my tracky.

Those fairings were on the bike when Jetpilot sold it to me :? :? :?
I didn't like the colour so sold them back to him. :kuda:

What happened to the engine out of it? Is it still the same suspension in it?

It's still the same bike apart from the engine Nelso.
It has the engine that had an oil weep from the stator area of the cases hence the cheap price.

I am using the engine in the tracky I have left.
Just can't come at selling it even though I'm not able to do track days ATM.

Guess I will always have a space in the man cave for at least one 9.
I have SuspensionSmith (from Canberra) suspension in it and very happy with it.
