Quick update...
With a lot of help from many friends; the bike is ready for rego (minus tyres).
Enough stock bits are on to keep 'the man' happy for the inspection.

Also; I CAN RIDE!!
With the shoulder feeling lots better and most of my hand strength back, I took the Zed (my first time riding it) around the block a couple of times.
I'm in luuuurve.

Saw the 7fiddy in the flesh today - looks great ! Very nice shade of red, with pinstriping that almost reminded me of a Ducati Monster ? Lurch was very happy to be back out riding - even with the weather being a bit hideous.......

This is exactly the sort of bike he needs for the daily commute, weekend fang and all-round riding. The M109 can be kept for those long weekend rides, and Goose - next step Historic rego.

These Conti's are freaking fantastic. I loved them on my XJR, and these new RA-2's on the Zed are even better.
Highly, highly recommended.

Quick update.
Now that rego is all done, I've been getting out a little and enjoying the bike.
She also got a good bath on Monday:

Since that photo was taken, I've fitted some wider bars and different mirrors.
Also ordered a belly pan today :)

Quick update.
Carbon bits are on, as well as the belly pan

(Carbon bits are the side panels and the Z1000 radiator shrouds)

Also made up a video camera mount over the last few days. Using a tripod head and a bracket:

Nice zed mate. Watch the cops with that tidy tail, I got booked the other day, $230, 2 points, if your going to keep it put a red reflector on the back of your bike, that will at least drop the fine if you get pinned, ride safe
