i could be wrong (brain synapses creaking trying to remember) but isn't it more likely it's a Russ Collins
of course Terry Vance and Byron Hines both worked for him before they started their own gig

I think you're on to something Jeff, something about that sidecover and the RC Eng writing

Yes, V&H were RC's wrenches before they branched out for themselves. Russ was a real pioneer, the 3-engined bike and then the "Sorcerer". Binned it at Bowling Green at over 170 MILES per hour and survived. Had it cubed and made into the base of a coffee table in his lounge room. Cool dude.
