Managed to find some time this weekend to fit a few more parts.

Puig dark smoked screen & cowl.

Opted for the standard version over double bubble, prefer the OEM look.

The OEM cowl was pretty straight foward assembly and installation took less then 10 mins.

Radguard, appears to be a quality part, unfortunately it is not truly "bolt on", lower centre cowl has to modified a little from the inside in order to fit bracket/bolt.

Its no biggie; you cant see the modification as its done from the inside.

Whats next?

* Evotech tidy tail
* Pinebox link pipe (awaiting arrival), akra CF slip on & servo buddy
* K & N air filter & Heal tech x-TRE

Yeah, I managed to go for a short ride before starting.

Being winter aka hibernation period for most bikes; I chose to put shodan into semi hibernation, so everything will be ready before the end of winter.

I'm off to the US for 6 weeks as of the end of this month.

Once I return; I only plan on riding.......

Returned from the US, had the bike put back together as I needed a ride fix.

Knocked up a couple hundered kms over the weekend, then it went back into the garage to conitnue the mods.

Image

Pinebox link pipe, the build & quality of this pipe is great, everything fitted up nicely and it allows all the OEM factory exhaust shields to be re-installed. I followed akra's link pipe install even though fitting instructions for the pinebox was provided (no piccies)

Akra instruct to loosen the header bolts so the headers/cat can be pushed foward in order to allow enough space for the OEM secondary box to be slid out. The rear tyre stops the OEM secondary box to be slid out by about an inch. I didnt like the idea of loosening all the header bolts and to do so you need remove the upper fairings (unless you have chinamen hands) before hand to get access to them, so I deflated the rear tyre; that provided enough space for the OEM secondary box to be removed.

Image

CF Akra slipon, the build and quality speed for itself, install was straight foward; with the dB baffle removed in combination with the PB linkpipe there is nice growl @ idle when I started it up.

Havent had the opportunity to ride it yet as I finished at 2am starting at 8pm, the evotech tidy tail took up some some time; perhaps the one too many frosty beer breaks didnt help either.

Bike should be back together by the weekend.
