Nice. Did you have to get a longer throttle cable to reach the new bars? If you did then where did you get it from? I'll be starting work on my zx7r soon so it'd be cool to hear exactly what you had done to get those bars on there.

I'm not usually a huge fan of the streetfighter, but this one looks OK
.
Nice work

Also......where's the overflow gone to now? (it's hard to see in the pics) and how have mounted the brake/clutch reservoirs? I've been looking over mine and have some ideas but obviously it'd be interesting to see how others have done it, and your bike is pretty damn similar to mine.

The overflow tank sits in the tail on these models.
A coffin style brake/clutch reservoir would really tidy up the handle bar area. Nice work

What he said. Pretty lucky with these models with the reservoir in the tail section. I have seen the ZX7's done with an Alloy Drink bottle attached to the side. As far as the throttle cable went, it was long enough already. Only thing i had to get lengenthed was the front break line.
Dutchy - if you have any other questions fire away. I'll be glad to help. Once you take that plastic off and change the riding position with the new bars you won't go back.

Cheers.
There is a fair chance you'll hear from me in the future.

I have already made some changes over the weekend. After looking at the photos i posted, and some constructive comments from others I didn't like the position of the headlight. So over the weekend I dropped the headlight down 50mm. What a difference it made to the look of the front.
I was also given some resevoirs off a B model ZX9 yesterday. (the square flat ones) so that should tidy the front up heaps more.
I do have a question though. Will the levers off my ZXR fit onto the ZX9 bits? I hope so as I have after market alloy shorties on it at the moment.
Cheers, Jed.

Be sure to post pics of the update. Can't help with the lever question, but I would have thought that they'd use similar gear.

New addition put on over the weekend. "Loud Pipes Save Lives"
I'll post some pics of the bike as a whole as soon as I take some good shots.
Cheers, Jed.

Ah, it is loud. No muffler in the belly pan. Although the link pipe has some limited baffling in it as well as the end piece i put on. So yer, it is basically a straight dump. I have done it so that If I need to put the old one back on it'll only take 5 minutes to do.
Cheers, Jed
