The new beast.........

After finally deciding to swap the 10 for something else and a couple of months of deciding exactly what to swap it with and not really being totally sold on anything new that's around at the moment something popped up last week.

Checking through Bikesales I was looking at a couple of lowish klm alternatives and then one arvo THE bike popped up. On the phone to a couple of regular suspects on here to get some opinions on the said bike and it was under way. I've just got home after driving to Melbourne and back over the weekend and I'm pretty stoked

I have to offer a massive thanks to Marty (Strika) without whom this whole deal wouldn't have happened. Marty took a run up to Healesville to check the bike out for me, did most of the legwork on the deal, met me on the way down, helped me load her up, took me back to his place where he and his lovely wife Tatyana (spelling?) put me up for the night, fed me (Ruski Lamb and Vege's are awesome), and packed me off in the morning with a gut full of brekky and supplies for the trip home. And not to forget Oskar the pooch who kept us entertained. I can't possibly offer enough thanks mate, it was awesome.

Huge thanks also to Phil for giving me bucket loads of info on the bike in question and also for showing me many ways to drain my wallet :)

Finally Hoff, for convincing me that Aprilia Shivers are truly gay.

Anyway after 20 odd hours of driving here she is. I've looked at plenty of bikes over the years that sellers have described as "like new" but this is the first one I've seen that really is.

Welcome mate - can we please get a "Borg" emoticon - Glen HAS been assimilated.

We've only just scratched the surface :kuda: Looks brilliant, can't wait to see it in person, late starter for the CDT perhaps

Nice bike Glen.

That would be about a tank of fuel for each year since new.
Also it has now nearly done more k's on the trailer than on the road.
