New to the Zed world. Thought I would share a few pics of my Z1000 I am building up. Still doing a few things so it is not finished, and there are some things done without photos right now.

The dash face is just a white inlay bought cheaply off ebay, from France I think. He does them with some dragon print but I asked if he could do the K logo and it was not a problem. Fits perfectly and took about 5 mins total to install. The blue/red lighting was also an ebay LED kit. I had a good friend who assembles engine management systems to do the swap for me, because the LED's are surface mount and can be a bit tricky. I just asked the seller to include a single red LED for use as the redline and he actually sent 3 along with a bunch of spare blue's. I was sceptical of anything coming from ebay but it all works perfectly and looks factory IMHO.

Always loved the 9, just getting too old for the riding position.

*** Gauge face was from Ebay Seller: maxfc-34 , LED's from Ebay Seller: Dream's Arts for those who want to know. ***

I'm hearing ya, why do you think a lot of the ex 9 owners now have Z's or ZRX's - or both

I thought it was - until I realised it had one pipe - as all 4 cylinder bikes should argue.gif :P There was also one for sale recently at Wattle Grove, It had a 4-1 Muzzy and was white.

I bought it with the single Yoshi, but have since re-made the link pipe in stainless as the job that was done on it previously was a bit.... how would we say it..... agricultural. Not to mention the sidestand hit the LHS of the pipe. The photo of the belly pan has the exhaust changes, but it is the other side where most changes can be seen. The only downside is that some think it is a 750!

I bunch of other stuff has been done. Clear LED indicators, new black mirrors, and the black side covers and windscreen are in carbon.

Funny enough, the paint job to white I did because I wanted a change, not because it was dropped as most people think. :-) I even took a short video before it was stripped so anyone in future who wants to buy the bike knows its history. I saw there were a couple of white ones floating around too.

Saki, I think I might have seen photos of yours. I already decided on white before I bought the bike and after the parts were sent to the painters I looked online to find who else had done this colour.
