on saturday morning we're picking up the personalised plate i bought him for christmas, in white on black of course!!

it rides ok... 7-8000 km break in, but the motor feels alright around 4-4500 (for something with 35kW  )

i felt like i should have been putting my inside foot down on every corner, my elbows were definitely up...

on the upside now dad and i can go old farts riding, him (the old fart) on his new bike and me (the new fart) on the old fart '72 R60/5 :kuda:

When a father and son can go for a ride together, the bikes become insignificant.

Good times ahead, enjoy.

That's a nice rig that your old man has picked up Pinchy, I hope he gets plenty more years riding in with you...

yeah but you've got shit loads of others and the 12... thats all dad has...

he's got a fuel injected bike for the first time in his life... admittedly its the only one in the garage, its also got disc brakes unlike front and rear drums on the beemer

Nice looking bikes, but I'm not 100% convinced as to the standard of their engineering.

Mate at work had a Guzzi and it came to an unntaural (and extremely expensive) end...not exactly sure but the way he described it it threw a rod through the block.

He now rides a MT-01 and couldn't be happier :). Bloody thing is loud though, you can hear it coming a mile off...

The father and son thing sounds good, my dad doesn't ride any more.

Pinchy, congrats to your dad, it's a great thing to be able to ride together 8)

At some stage the italian police was using the guzzis, not sure if they still do today..

Congrats to your dad Pinchy - have to say I quite like the Guzzi and it looks great in the black and white.

Father and son riding - looking forward to the time I can do it too :D

That looks the goods mate, good on him. I'm glad to hear the old beemer is staying put though, it'd be a crime to sell that after so many years of faithful service.
