umm deifinitely got me thinking more about looking ahead into the corner... i guess it just kind of showed u the process of going through a corner....

as for times id guess around a 2:30.... bearing in mind that was without braking... fo backing off for turn 2, 9 and 12 meant lots of time lost... that and i wasnt really working it through the gears round the back....

im hoping ill cut a 215 or something on the track day....

and no, no knee down....

in one of the sessions, my instructor followed me for a bit... then pulled up beside me and started to gesture to stick my knee way out... he could obviously see i was close enough if i could get it out dnagling in the breeze....

but alass... my knee appears not to go out at 90 degress to the bike....

ill be trying at the tracak day tho  as i might have got there but for rain in the last 3 sessions....

oh and owen.... ive probably got another 20 degrees onwhat you see there.... its all about what corner you take the photo at... and at what point in the corner u take the photo... i reckon that coming outa turn 12 probably 2/3 the way thru the corner there would have been some serious lean angle... 8)

I love seeing people riding with clear visors (except when it's photos of me). The look of concentration (or fear) in their eyes is great.

You look like you're doing well Owen, and that little Ninja is certainly leaned over. Did you get a lot out of the exercises?

im disappointed that there were no pics from turn 12 or 9.... had good lean angles through there....

hopefully ill get some more lean on the track day....

i reckon if i had done a flying lap at thte beginning and the end, i might have been 3 or 4 seconds a lap quicker at the end... really braking down the processes or cornering helped me to understand where you should be doing and what exactly you should be doing at any moment in time... it was fun, but all i can say is bring on the track day so we can see what sienna can really do

Owen I am guessing the pics were not at the end of the day either...... Your body posture in these pice looks a bit stiff & you are not really getting off the bike... like really moving your ass off which in turn will get your knee down :P it will come ... its only a matter of time :D

Yes you can, but they're not cheap and the excess if you drop one is huge (up to $3.5k from memory ... and it's a Suzuki). Most insurers will cover your bike while you're undertaking an approved training course - check with them.

Looks good Owen

It would be interesting to see how far you actually lean into a corner.

I have no idea how close i get but i don't think i lean as far as you are in some of those photos.

BTW - any more info on the course itself? e.g. where? when? how much?

I am looking into the advanced riding course they do at Oran Park but I'm not sure if that's the best one out there

That sounds pretty good to me.

Eastern Creek is even better as I can usually get there in around 10 - 15 mins if I go the boring way down the M4
