Well Saturday saw a massive effort in the shed with thanks to Mick (PC) and Gos and other mates Lurch and Mike. Just a couple of little tidy ups to go one bracket needs a thread cleaning up and my Yoshi should be here in a couple of weeks, but it looks spectabulous. The bloke standing behind the bike is the genius who did the paint job, he's worth his weight in gold that man.

Mighty Job Bogan, those early 7's have a class and look all of their own, absolutely fantastic mate. :supz:

That looks tops Tony, you must be so happy with the result. I'm sure the riding will be all the much sweeter for the effort you put in. Good timing too, having the bike ready as we come into spring.

That pic of the new second hand headers is actually just them prepped and ready for paint, it's amazing what some sandpaper, a nylon paint and rust removing angle grinder wheel, a dremel, some motivation and a bit of patience will do :). You can see in the side on shot the end of the blue section, they're painted blue all the way from the engine to the start of the stainless part of the pipe. More pics to come one day soon when I can get it out and about, these are just a few quick ones taken on the afternoon of the reconstruction.

Blurr wrote:noice work! looking very clean except for the slight ding in the Laser! thank god for the Yoshi

Amen to that brother. The Laser sounds the goods but it's the only crappy looking piece on an otherwise sweet looking machine, I've ordered a Yoshi that's listed for '96 on but from what I can tell there shouldn't be an issue fitting it, I'll let you all know how I go.

Thanks for the kind words, I've wanted this bike to look like it does ever since before I bought it, they were just coming out when I bought my GSXR in 1991-92 and yes they looked horn back then. This one has some little touches that bring it away from stock, I'll get some more pics and post them up soon.

Cheers,

Tony
