Z1000 shenanigans at Heathcote Raceway

Postby deafwish » Sun Jun 24, 2007 8:28 pm

I got about 15 passes on Saturday with a PB of a flat 11.09 @ 126.9mph.
Fastest through the traps was at 131.12mph.
I had both the 954 Blade & ZX10R until about 2/3rds of the track and then their fairing did it's thing with that aerodynamics shit and I was left behind.
I tried oh so hard to get into the 10's, but couldn't.....
I had a ball, regardless!
Thanks to Damo for lending me his trailer. :)

strap the front end and make lowering links for the rear, i did a 10.8 just by doing that, my previous best was a 11.08.

Pm me if you want more details, i made the lowering links myself, peice of cake. And the straps were $50

Round 2 completed last weekend.
Matt kindly made some lowering links for me & I bought a Schnitz front strap.
I did 16 passes & the best time I could get was an 11.4 @ 126mph! :x
Sure I could launch harder, but no matter what I did, I couldn't get remotely close to the time I did with the stock ride height... :?

Hey Wattie!
How's the new steed treating ya? Bet it's just a wee bit different to the ol Zed! :P
With your flat 11, may I ask how heavy you are?
If you are heavier than 80kg, I'm going to be pissed!
