Care for a repsol paintjob?

Hey gents. I've been kicking round this forum for about 6 months now, and finally managed to upgrade off the old 1983 GSX 250 (ugh, you can see it in the third pic) to a CBR250RR, and christ what an upgrade! Sorry guys, down here in Tassie there is just so little in the way of ZXR250s around so it had to be the CBR250. But tbh im glad i bought it rather than a ninja, the condition its in for the price i got it is just unbeatable.
Im 17 at the mo, with 6 months riding under my belt and bloody lovin it
Finally got around to taking pics of my new (well old i suppose)250RR.
It's a 1991 Honda CBR250RR(L) with 29,000 KMs and the factory repsol (doohan?) paint scheme. Best part was i managed to pick it up for $4400 delivered to where i work
Its in extremely good condition, the only things that needed doing after i picked it were a new chain and sprokets (DID) and a new rear tyre (pilot activ). Everything mechnically and cosmetically is A1, except for the oxidized can (WTF?), and a big crack in the brake light fairing area.
Although i havnt got much to compare it to, ive ridden a mates ZZR250, and to be honest i would buy the CBR over it every time. Its got more power, handles much better, has a much bigger boot, looks so much better, is a 4 cylinder, revs harder, more modern...............need i go on?
Anybody got any idea what the hell happened to the pipe? Ive seen alot of CBRs around and at dealers and such, but havnt seen one with a pipe that has oxidized like this one has. The whole can has lost is shine, is rough and has pitting in some spots. Any idea how much a replacement would be?
