Why heat wrap the headers?
[I do comprehend the principal of heat wrap, buy why?]

it might add a tad more horsepower at full noise (due to the principal), but it looks *horn*, which is the main reason !

I tried heat-wrap on the headers of my old z75o a few years ago, it made the bloody thing sun so hot that it pinged its head off within 5 minutes of starting from cold  - so it got flicked. Much better on water-cooled engines methinks...

Is it just me or does the muffler look half crushed?

I don't mind the metal flake paintjobbie, but the flames are a tad overdone for mine. It's ok though, so long as you can ride quick! :)

he was in a wreck last june...that's why the can looks a bit crushed. we got the dent out as a temp fix till we can find/get a new one!!
we wrapped them cause they were melting the plastics. it's a 1270 system. so, it gets hot and burns.
the truck is a 2002 chevrolet avalanche. the rims are 22"s and I have 2 12" subs in the back. you can go to my myspace http://www.myspace.com/heffspiglet
I have it set to private right now, but I'll make it public so those who can't view it can see. on my main page is where I have a slide that shows the system in the truck. that's what I do....find the right sounds and wheels for cars/trucks!
the bike has billett mirror block offs that are engraved with zx12r, I got him a puig double bubble smoked screen, an undertail peice from hotbodies, road race grips, and a zx12r engraved billett stator cover!!

need to find also carbon fiber ram air covers and he wants the haans monster air scoop!! but, mainly to put the bike to look new again is a new exhaust can and ram air covers!! the covers that were stock broke in the wreck he had.
