Now I gotta get it over for polishing....

Still very not certain where to take the motor for reco. I realy don't want to start putting it (motor) back in without some assurance that it will be 100%.

I will need assistance soon from someone on fork seals.

Cheers

Glad it's coming along mate.

I like forks and tight seals... Give us a buzz, i may be able to help

What top service I got dealing with these guys. They deserve a plug for the service and price, $250 for the set fitted on the spot.

cheers

The fork seals are easy mate.
Just take them to the shop (unless you got a rattle gun?) to get the bottom bolts out, rest is a piece of piss..... Jimmy of course !!!

OK Big Bump...!

Got the Frame back from polishers now the fun starts.

FORK SEALS - I got quoted $125 fitted if I took the fork legs to them  $25 for seals and $100 to fit including oil

Does anyone have the required tools to do the job? If so I am willing to put on a BBQ for a spanner day, guest lecturers to let me know of their availability and specialties...

cheers

I've never seen anyone use a tool

You should be able to just keep pulling the forks in and out until it pops.

ahaha but generally, i've always been told the way to get forkseals out is to drain the oil out, and just keep pulling in and out until the seal comes out (as it eventually will)

As said in the previous post, the bottom screw is difficult to undo. It needs an air rattle gun, and with the fork still assembled (to provide the miniscule grip required). The proper tool is a long square pipe which the shop does not usually have.

Unfortunately for me I found this out at the last minute and went to the shop with a dissasembled fork ... alas needed to go back home to refit the whole thing  That provided some entertainment for the mechanics I guess

Next time I'll pay $125 to get it done

That looks great.!
How did you get the swingarm to come out so well. Last time I saw it, it had bits missing...

This is the same bike isn't it.. :-)
