I'm partial to the blue, but just for laughs, why not paint it like a GSXR?

Ardy I am sorta leaning towards blue (same as the original in gloss) , but the white looks the goods

Don't go white - you've already mentioned why
Don't go red - yawn
Don't go orange - unless you're thinking of batting for the other team and want to advertise this with your gay-boy orange paintjob like Russ does (he's so going to hurt me for that!)
Go blue - as a last resort, or if you're going soft

Go green - if you want your bike to look it's sexiest, you to look shit hot, get photographed practically EVERY lap, and be a true ksrcian.

Update:
After much deliberation I decided on Kawaka Green & Black & after many many hours of sanding then priming then sanding then finally 2 weeks later painting this morning the job is done. I have painted a few bikes to date & this one has come out the best
Main reason for this is I have spent 3 times the effort in preparation to make sure I could get a decent finish, I use a 2K paint because I have a semi spray booth at work & it is less work than acrylic & more robust.
The Ducktail is not in the shot but it is black ............... now its time to go home cool off & have a swim
