Well the bike has been Track deflowered, I thought I would be a bit more hesitant with the original plastic fitted but that went out the window once I was on the track Its amazing how quick the perception changes when it comes to the crunch.
First session was overcast & saw water running across the track at Turn 5 & 7 with a slight patch through 11, the track was also very slightly damp in sections but definitely not wet & the clear visor was donned for closer inspection. First impression was this bike is comfy & I very quickly felt at home (tyre warmers help) & confidence was up for the warm up lap, the water across the track looked ok especially 5 as it was well past the apex, this let to a false confidence come lap 2 when the bullet almost had a self induced laydown in protest to being hammered out of turn 5 & hitting the stream of water causing the rear end to almost come past the front

The marshal at turn 6 was having a good laugh at my expense & all I could do was shake my head & smile, happy knowing that I wasn't going to be the first casualty of the day

, then once the composure was set I had fun passing Russ apexing out of turn 1 & doing the bolt, but alas that was to be the only session for those sorts of shenanigans & Russ quickly got in the zone for the rest of the day.
Funny thing was my fastest lap of the day was that Lap & I still cant believe that on a brand new bike I can pull my fastest lap for the day in shitty track conditions trying to stay ahead of Russ..... Thanks mate
Session 2 saw an almost dry track but a strong headwind coming up the straight had me being cautious for the rest of the day hence the times were down.
Session 3 saw a dry track ....... let the fun & Games begin, had another play with Gos in the beginning of the session the spent the rest of the session picking off other riders, the track was quite busy so I made a point to be at the front for future starts to get some clear track.
Session 4 was Fantastic I was at the front & had plenty of clear track but I was feeling tired so it was a struggle but to make up for it I had fun watching an MV get trashed out of turn 9

I did a total of 4 laps with no one passing me then I pulled off to cool down & save energy for the last session.
Session 5 got up the front again & had Glen behind me for a look see, well it seems he got a show ...... namely a big black darkie apexing turn 1

I think I was over compensating for the headwind down the straight & trying to make up time between 1 & 2

didn't even realise till he told me, 1 lap later I was spent & heading back to the pits from lack of concentration & for self preservation.
So overall the bike is amazing, this is exactly what the doctor ordered, the bike is predictable, nimble, has plenty of power on tap & is honestly hard to fault. At this stage I will leave it till Oran park on the 10th for a comparison there before working out any changes but at this stage a slight tweak in the suspension for more travel in the front & soften the rear slightly is probably all she needs

I am one happy camper that's for sure & have definitely made the right decision in changing & having a more modern experience.
God I love this bike!
Thanks for the Pic Leah...... bit wide out of turn 2 here but making up for it in lean angle
