Is that the German stuff off egay? How is it, fit good?

The more I look at those polished frame covers the more I like it - I do like shiny things

They were from Carbon Domain (www.carbon-domae1.de). Quality is almost perfect with no flaws in the laying of the matting, and they fit like OEM. I bought the side covers, rad covers, screen, and chain guide, and all are top notch. Everything bolted in with very little fuss. I believe it is one of the UK companies that makes some dodgy looking stuff.

The frame covers and pillion supports were pollished by Custom Metal Pollishing in Penrith. Nice guys and turned them around in a day for me. Dropped in the morning and picked up in the afternoon. The metal holds the shine well too, and I have not had to hit them with the cream since having it done. The side covers are a weird alloy, and you can faintly see what looks like water marks in them. You need to get close and be a bitch about it to notice though.

I have to give a shout out to Metisse in Germany. The rad guard I ordered arrived today... albeit in a crumpled ball. I contacted them via email with some photos, and in less than 30 minutes got a reply from the owner stating they are sending another in a more secure package. Top quality product otherwise, and top service.

I managaed to bend the pretzel radiator guard back into a shape that could be fitted to the bike to see how it looks. I am liking it! It adds just enough bling chrome to the front to balance thebike out. Just need the new one to be sent out and the bike is pretty much finished. Might pickup a taller screen for longer rides but otherwise all is done. I also last night added some fake carbon vinyl to the belly pan at the front to protect from stone chips, as well as to break up the large white section which in person makes the bike look as fat as its owner.

Have you thought about getting one of those 'radial conversion' kits ? These enable you to bolt up a set of radial calipers to your OEM fork-legs. I think a conversion like this would look great on your bike, as well as being a practical and effective brake upgrade....

Thanks matey! I have thought about it even to the point of swapping forks. What I want most is more adjustable suspension. The brakes seem to pull it up quite well at the moment with the new rotors and pads, but if I were heading to the track I would do the radials. Next on the list will be maybe a ZX6 shock so I can get compression adjustment. A cheap upgrade by the look of it. I may need to look further than the ZX6 though as I would like high and low speed compression. The stock shock actually doesn't feel too bad for my size, weight, and style of riding. But it is a bit hard in the high speed compression making it want to skip over sharp edge hits mid corner. With some adjustability maybe I can dial a little of it out.

Got bored tonight and hand pollished the headers. They had some corrosion on them from the previous owner so it was good to bring it back to a clean finish and let it go golden all over again. Also tracked down a ZX6 shock pretty cheap.

The 2003 ZX6 rear shock arrived, and I decided to bling it up a bit, so I had it polished of course! It was an easy bolt-in job with no mods at all, and now I have compression adjustment. Found it in the states for US$50, so a good bargain upgrade.

Could be but I don't think so, Ducati is about 200m down the street in the next block of units. Custom are exactly between Mick Dyers and S&R Pro.

Where do I sign!!!! Although... you can notice the right side pipe runs a bit rich compared to the left. So maybe after they sort that out.

I'm guessing they would make wheelies easier ..........appeared to stop him doing a burnout with the weight - or he was just crap.

Reminds me of the infamous "cement mixer" in the trackside campground a few years back.
