I have set my eyes on a very clean looking, completely stock 636. It is a 2006 model, has done 20000 kms.
Deal has been done 'in principle'. Its only a matter of getting through paperwork and handing in cash.
I will post pictures when the bike is officially mine!

Fuck me, I have tried three times to post this and it keeps dropping out! It's usually reliable, but for some reason tonight signal strength is faarked....anyway.....
Congrats Vivek!! I hope you enjoy yours as much as I did mine!

looks like I will have to sharpen up my skills now you have something which accelerates as quick, if not quicker than my Rex!!!!!

I am so excited Marty. Saturday can't come sooner!

I think we should allocate some time next saturday or sunday, depending on which is the shittier day, to do the once over on your new bike, set up all the suspension and make sure it's ready for a key in brain out run into the hills!!!!

Now, I warn you, you are going to have to get used to riding the Rex on the odd occasion, as a green 2005/6 636 is not a bike I can easily keep my hands off!!!

Just looking at the Rex gives me nightmares. It looks so heavy and big

Mate, they are smaller than they look. They're also really easy to steer once under way.

So does this mean your back in preston race school ????,as for the new bike i reckon key in brain in is probably better
I will not be doing the race school if its raining. My advise take it easy and get used of your bike at a relaxed pace its not a zx10 but it is a very large step up from a 250 twin.Enjoy

Preston race school. Probably not at this stage. And for the exact reason you mentioned earlier. I need to get used to the bigger bike because it will be a big upgrade from a 250. The 250 was relatively easier because I have owned 2 other 250s in my past life.
zx6 will be a whole new experience and I'll take it slow and easy

the HART advanced courses are on 600s if you want to ride around on someone elses 600 to get used to them, and pick up some skills

I don't mean to be rude, but his skills are far in advance of the kindergarten curriculum that HART regurgitate. Most HART instructors couldn't ride out of sight on a dark night. I think Vivek wants to be taught by someone who is faster than him and can drag his skills up with them, not sit through hours of basic level crap that a two year old could digest! I realise you are fond of HART, judging by your multiple references to them and my criticism is not of the course, more rather that the level they teach at would be patronising to Vivek!

The zx6 is home. Even took it to the shops and back for a real quick test ride. very happy
Need a new lid now!

Well did Vivek!! Another Green one in the fold!!! BTW, you have bought yourself a cracking bike. I didn;t say too much, but the thing rips!

I had it wheelspinning over the top of that hill on the test ride.

Ohh...the memories!!!

So tonight, having noticed the fuel price at the gas station near my house I thought Ill fill up some gas in the 636. Went to the car port where the bike is parked.
Tried for about 5 minutes to find out where the fuel gauge was and couldnt figure it out. I came back in and sifted through the manual. The bike doesn't have a FUEL GAUGE?
This bike has a lap timer but not a fuel gauge?
