Well it's arrived - 1984 GPZ900R - Top Gun!

The condition it's in is about right for a 25 year old bike and I'm really happy for the price. The paint job is terrible and will be redone. The clutch master cylinder is weeping. Fork seals may need replacing. Fuel tank has a bodgy bog job on it to be repaired. Lower cowl 'm sure isn't meant to be secured with 4 bolts on each side. Front tyre is worn on the left hand side - may need a wheel alignment.

Motor feels good and sounds awesome. Will transfer and renew the rego in the next 2 weeks.

The bike was at Molong - long trip. Big, BIG thank you to Disco for arranging and driving a truck to go out and get it - long drive and I really appreciate your help mate. Awesome work.

Oh - I'm repainting this bike but would like to stay with original Kawasaki colour schemes - anyone good with Photoshop who may be able to do some mock-ups? Top Gun comes to mind.... but I do like the red or going to a plain high gloss black.

the black will suit it dude, great work on the pickup, sorry i couldnt help but going to thospital 3 times a day is hard to get anything done. Will have to come over some time and check it out. maybe when i get the punk back on the road.

I've got a couple of jobs to do on the 500 then I'll start stripping the 900 back. Get the bodywork going - while it's in paint I can start some of the mechanicals - not much to be done really and looking forward to hooking in.

Give me something to do on my time off now - really REALLY excited!

Me too I had an 85 model in the blue/silver which I reckon was the best colour.
