Not that I am aware of. Just get a good map, plan ur fyuel stops, and ya should be all good. I have only run out of fuel once, and that was when I was playing silly buggers, and that was not on a long trip either

Hi Shadow, welcome to the Club mate.

Anything on the East coast from the Cape down to Melbourne, and across the South Coast across to Perth, you won't have any problems with hi-octane juice for your 14. Its the stretches across the NW corner of WA that *might* be a problem, its diesel only in most places, unleaded (91) is available most of the time.......but not Premium unleaded. The biggest *stretch* for juice in the old days used to be the Halls Creek / Fitzroy Crossing stretch - about 350km ?? approx ? I think there is juice a bit more freely avaiable out there now, but it will cost you upwards of $2 per litre in the boonies........

Good Luck with your trip, if you want to do some scratching around Canberra / SE Coast of NSW, let me know, there are some great roads in the mountains around here......and plenty of local KSRC punters

cheers mate :D
Dave

Welcome aboard, enjoy your trip and give us a shout when you get to Victoria. The Black Spur is a must, the Great Ocean road is great and there are a number of good tracks in the area (Winton, Broadford and Phillip Island).

mate welcome.

i'd start somewhere in sydney and finish off in QLD.

Reason:

sydney is lame and u can only spend a couple of hours then head to sunny melb. when u get to melb organise a piss up. then ride around australia. believe me ur gonna need all that riding time to recover after u've drank with the victorians

so are you going to buy the bike? To do a holdiay on? Then what? Ship it to NZ? Or have i missed something and you are re-locating to Oz?

if on a holiday and you intend on buying, i have no idea how you'd meet the requirements to register a vehicle in any states, due to not being able to prove residency in the respective state.....anyone with some ideas?

either way, sounds great and hope to cya in canberra!
