okay - just being silly...not like my username gave THAT away...

hello - my name is amanda (hi amanda) and i've been riding a kawasaki for almost two years now with no hope of recovery. i've got a 2000 zx9r and i absolutely love it. fortunately/unfortunately it's a green one. since i bought it used i really didn't have much of a say about the color. it's now grown on me and i really like the green - can't believe that i just admitted that! actually it gets worse. i just bought a fieldsheer mesh jacket that has bits of green on it. i figure while i'm riding the bike - i can't see the green so it's all good. :)

i'm over here in the states outside of washington, dc. hopefully you won't hold that against me - kidding. i've been riding for about five years now and can't imagine ever not riding. i've been all of the place with my previous bikes - a yamaha v-star classic 650 and then a suzuki sv650. i actually got to ride a friend's 2001 zx9 when i crashed the sv. i broke off the shifter knob and after a lot of convincing on his part - we switched bikes on the way back to my house. i was pretty much done after that - so when my local shop got my bike in - i knew that i had to have it. it's probably one of the better decisions that i'm willing to admit to. :)

anyhoo - thanks dave for telling me about this site.

welcome to the nuthouse amanda.

all i can say is GO GREEN!!!!!!!!!!
no need to be ashamed of the green, be proud of it.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Welcome....

Just a bit of advice for you. Be careful on the streets in your neck of the woods. By the looks of your photo, some of the drivers are driving on the wrong side of the road!

Hahaha! This thread has gotten funny quickly :D
Hi Mandy, can't think of anything funny to add.
It's cool to see another COOL USian after that toolbag posted the ZX6R for sale.
So now you've got a kawasaki, now just gotta move to Australia, convert the ZX9R to right hand drive, and you're all set :D
ZXR"900" - In pieces... again.
Another engine gone but at least the purple and pink are still there, oh yeah.
