Introduction, upgraded bike

Postby z1000-bike » Sat Jul 30, 2011 11:28 am

Hi, I'm not new to bikes, but new to my new bike.
Upgraded from the GPX250 to the Z1000.
I know it's a big step, was only looking at 750's, but the price and opportunity of the z1000 was too irresistible.

* Orange 2003 model
* ZX9R 4-1 exhaust system
* Corbin seat.
* A dynojet power commander, but not yet dynoed.
* Sub Throttle Disable - mapped
* K&N air filter with airbox mod
* Mirrors with LED indicators in them
* Brake light with LED indicators in them

Only use to commute to and from work, but can't wait for a nice sunny day to see what it can do :D

Welcome mate, nice bike. And to answer your question - they can do quite a bit ;)

BTW, your avatar photo is one of the Gen II Z's (the sawft version inbetween the head banger versions)

Thanks Phil. Yeah, I did a quick search for that pic, was smaller when I found it and didn't see the different exhaust and rims. Tryin to get time to get a pic of mine to put up :supz:

Thanks everyone, I'm more into my car, but now with a bike like this, it's almost equall.

Everyone told me to get a 1000, but I was only interested in the 750 because I didn't want too much power as it was only to commute to and from work.
But after taking the 1000 out for a proper ride, I'm glad I got the 1000 instead of the 750.
