Someone on the BikersAnon list when I first got my bike had a spiral fracture of his right leg.
Once it was casted up properly and he was on crutches he was back on the bike - no rear brake activity of course.
He strapped his crutches to the rear footpegs and the rack on the back. :D

hey Angel, thanks for the welcome - I look forward to meeting some girls, sometimes its nice to sit and talk non-bike accessories and talk about other stuff like leathers instead

I've just been advised that the operation may cause some permanent nerve damage and I wont have full mobility but otherwise should be ok. Your off sounds much worse than mine given the extetn of damage you describe - good to hear you're mostly mended though.

i have the next 2 weeks off so look for some activity from me on the forum - its my one link to the real world of bikes.

Yes most def a compliment. I luuurrrrvve French. I started learning it at school and got bagged out for being really good at it, so i stopped. I imagine two weeks in france would have me conversing easily enough though.

I wanna learn Spanish too. I am told that Spanish/Italian and french are closely related and once you learn Spanish the others are a breeze. Since i pick up French quickly, Spanish should hopefully come too.

T and Strika

Merci pour le bienvenue, j'espere recouvrire assez bientot pour pouvoire faire votres connaissance - cela sera superb!

Translate: Thanks for the welcome, I hope to recover soon to meet you - that will be awesome!

Stirka, happy to speak french with you - and T is she wants to. You're right about Spanish/Italian, I spent 2 weeks in spain when I was travelling for my 16th b'day (a lifetime ago) and it toook me 3 days to speak spanish fluently and Italian is very closely related, I had no problems understanding it when I headed off to Rome. The reason knowing one of the languages leads to being able to pick up the other two is that they are all based from Latin - english speaking people find german easier because english and german are from the same roots. (I did learn something at school afterall)

i finish my MBA late October after which my weekends are mine again and I should be out of plaster by then also - maybe not back on the bike but if you're up to going to Acland street and catching up over Lates watching the world go by I'd love to meet up.
