New member, old bike.

Wed May 14, 2008 6:38 am

G'day one and all. Name's Jason. I chat on QMRF and BB and, being the Kawi lover that I am, thought I'd jump on here, too! :D

I live just north of Beaudesert, a short hop from the border ranges and all the awesome roads that come with being in the mountains.

I ride a '95 ZZR 1100. She's a special girl, with Harlequin paint, polished wheels, WP rear shock, green screen and Goodridge discs & braided lines. All the mod's were done before I bought her. I've had her for just over a year. This is my second bike, having ridden a ZZR 250 for 2 1/2 years. Mrs Tree nows rides the little bike full time.

Look forward to seeing you out on the road sometime. I'm pretty hard to miss!!

Here's me and my big girl, parked up in Canungra:

Nice sidecar! I've got a soft-spot for them, since they run (or used to run) ZZR 1100 engines. One of the guys at work races one. His name's Steve Cole. Do you know him?

Cant say that I have :? is he road or dirt? & Is he currently racing? I ask because F1 is limited to 1000cc.

Pretty sure he's into road racing. Not sure if he's currently racing as he was telling me that he's changing from the ZZR engine to a Gixxer 1k. I think it's to do with modernising things, being that the ZZR was last produced 9 years ago. Also, the Gixxer donk is lighter.

Thanks, mate. FTR, it's Cookee with a double 'e'. It's an intentional misspelling. Cookeetree is the name of our little slice of Australia.

I have a sister, but she's more broke than I am! ;)

Here's a pic of the sign I made for our gate. All the letters were cut out with a scroll saw. I love messing about in the shed. :D

Figured it was something logical like that. I hear good things about the '08 ZX. Think you'll switch back?
