Our 4th ride for 2004 for Victorian members has happened....

Date: Sunday July 25 2004

Where: to Rosebud via Hastings Red Hill and Arthurs Seat
yep...to the scenic and picturesque Mornington Peninsula
approx 90 km South of Melbourne

After meeting at Brighton ..and then Frankston and then to the Rosebud pub for lunch.

Weather: dry, sunny, cold, windy, overcast, drizzly, wet (well this is Melbourne......but at least it didn't snow...)

roads: windy, curvy, uphill, downhill, hairpins, dry, sandy and wet (...well it did rain)

Highlights:
Mario's tank ride past the camera car.....
Matt's runs down (and especially ) up Arthurs Seat....... a ZXR750 working hard...with the ocassional spinup..... ...is nice to listen to... and Matt had Scott on his tail..on the 9r
Most of us had at least one slip or slide in the wet... ..guess we kept our weather effected ride record...in tact!
The welcome from the manager at HJ's at Frankston..never had that many guests (yep thats what we are...guests) turn up at 11.00am on a Sunday!
The introduction from the Benelli Tornado R 900 rider..... he copped some KSRC stickers from yoda
and yes...he's out in the wet on it, one day after buying a $40,000 motorcycle.... and get this, he rode a Harley Softtail before the Benelli.....some ppl!

oh, yes
and the NOISE!!!!  To listen to ALL of us pulling up at the lights at the end of the tunnel at Southland Shopping Centre... raised the hairs on the back of ya neck..... as all our sportsbikes...came blipping throttles to a halt... the noise..she wazza beyewdiful..
